Our client based in Berkshire are looking to recruit an experienced Trading Standards Officer to undertake inspections of premises to ensure they meet legislative requirements across all trading standards areas such as Food law, weights and measures, fair trading etc. In addition, to provide trader advice, where appropriate and assist in enforcement action where deemed appropriate. The more important aspect of this contract will be Food Standards.
In order to be considered you must hold a professional Trading Standards qualification (Diploma in Trading Standards or DCATS with legal metrology with ability to offer advice on all relevant subject areas) including Legal Metrology, Food Standards, Fair Trading Criminal, and Product Safety. A Quality Assurance qualification e.g. ISO 9000 Auditor/Lead Auditor course is desirable but not essential. You must also have recently completed your competency framework. The contract will run for an initial 3 month period. Our client is very flexible and is willing to consider both full time and part time. Rates will be very competitive so please do let us know what you would be looking for.
