Our Client in the South West are looking for a Trading Standards Officer. Our client and the Food Standards Agency, require an officer to support and secure improvements in feed law compliance, help consolidate import controls and improve knowledge concerning materials used for feed.
You will also be required the following:
-To establish a physical presence at the port -Actively involved in compliance monitoring relating to the safety of goods -To establish the nature of goods being imported -Establishing systems to detain, store and release potential unsafe goods -To risk assess the imported goods landing at the port -To sample and analyse consumer goods that are considered to be non-compliant. -To develop a documented process and agreed protocol for making referrals to inland authorities to ensure that they are notified of any relevant intelligence.
