Full Description

Our local authority client, based in North East England are looking to appoint an experienced Trading Standards and Licensing Manager. The agency worker will represent the services at the Councils Regulatory and Licensing Committees as well as in other settings
Act as Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures in accordance with section 72 of the Weights and Measures Act 1985.
Ensure that the functions of the services under the Licensing Act 2003 are delivered including the making of representations and applications for the review of premises licences.
Direct and motivate the performance of colleagues in the services to ensure that work is completed within set frameworks, standards and timescales.

The Trading Standards Section undertakes the broad range of Trading Standards functions including animal health. The Licensing Section is responsible for administration and enforcement of the laws relating to taxis, sales of alcohol, gambling, street trading and miscellaneous other activities

They require someone who is DCATS or DTS qualified with weights and measures qualification. An experienced and fully qualified Trading Standards Officer to temporarily manage Trading Standards and Licensing in the borough.

Please note, although this is one role, the client is willing to consider all avenues so they are willing to consider experienced trading Standards Managers OR Licensing managers respectively.

Rates can be negotiated so please let me know either your day rate or hourly rate.
