Osborne Richardson are working with a busy local authority in Devon who require a Planning Officer to join their Development Management Team for a contract role. They need someone who is experienced with managing a caseload made up predominately of minor and householder planning applications, though there is the opportunity to work on small major applications also. Ideally our client is looking for a Planner who has some experience of working in a local authority setting.
You will need a relevant town planning degree and have a good working knowledge of UK planning legislation. Good communication skills and confidence are essential and you must be comfortable dealing with the general public. Our client has a wide range of work underway and will accept applications from those with varying levels of experience.
This will initially be offered as a 6 month contract and the hourly rate offered will be up to £25/hr umbrella depending on your experience. Please get in contact for more information.
