Full Description

Our client is looking for a Enforcement Town Planner to join them for a contract role in Bedfordshire. In this role you will manage a case load of planning enforcement investigations within a large and busy Local Authority. They will likely be focused on residential properties but may also include commercial premises. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.

To carry out this role it is absolutely essential you have worked within a similar capacity within a local authority setting. You will need a good working knowledge of planning legislation and be able to progress cases to Notice and Prosecution level. As you will be largely working under your own initiative you will need to be disciplined in your approach to work and you will need to be able to manage work within agreed timeframes. Formal town planning qualifications are not absolutely necessary if you have an equivalent level of work experience in this specialist area.

This role will initially be offered as a 6 month contract but is likely to be a rolling contract. The rate will depend upon your level of experience but it will be up to £33/hr so this is an excellent opportunity. Please get in touch for further information.
