Our client is a Local Authority based in East London, and they have 3 Town Planner vacancies within their Development Management Team. You will be required to manage a varied caseload of minor and householder planning applications but given opportunity to broaden your skills as you develop within the team. You will join a team working in one of London's most rapidly developing Boroughs so you will gain excellent work experience that will really propel your planning career.
You will not necessarily need a high level of experience for this role, and our client will consider those who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation alongside recent experience of processing planning applications. You must be able to clearly explain the end to end process of determining a planning application, and how to make robust planning decisions which can be defended to the public and at appeal.
You will need a basic understanding of the context of planning policy on the planning decision process and you must be able to work well under pressure.
Our client will pay between £20-£27 p/hr depending on your level of experience for a role at this grade. This role is inside IR35. Please contact us for full details.
