Our client, a Local Authority based in the North West of England requires a Town Planner to work within their DM team. You will be required to manage a caseload of minor and household planning applications but depending on your experience it can also include some complex minor applications.
You will not necessarily need a high level of experience for this role and our client will consider those who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation alongside recent experience of processing planning applications for a local authority. You will need a basic understanding of the context of planning policy on the planning decision process and you must be able to work well under pressure.
They are open to considering recent graduates for this role as long as they have some relevant working experience. Ideally 2-3 months at a minimum of processing their own caseload of planning applications.
Our client will pay between £18-£27 p/hr inside IR35 depending on experience for this role. This will initially be a 3 month contract though it is expected to be a rolling contract due to the amount of work our client has. This is predominantly a home working role though you will need to work onsite once or twice a week.
