Like most authorities in London, our client has an extremely busy caseload of planning applications to deal with and welcome applications from those with the ability to process householder and minor planning applications. It is essential that you have enough competency and working knowledge of UK planning legislation to be able to take on your own caseload immediately as our client will need you to work with minimal supervision. That said, they will consider applications from those at all levels provided they have recent work experience within a local authority as workload is diverse and can be tailored to match your level of ability.
The work is based in South London and contracts will initially be offered for 3 months but this is going to be an ongoing rolling contract. This client has a workload that will keep you busy for some time and we have placed people there previously who have been in post for well over a year and we are confident the role will continue to be extended.
The rate will be commensurate with your level of experience and the budget they have in mind is up to £29/hr umbrella. A Town Planning qualification essential and Local Authority planning experience would be beneficial.
