We have an excellent opportunity to secure a contract working within one of London's most vibrant Boroughs for development work. The department is very large and they employ a high volume of contractors who are given excellent opportunities to handle their own caseload, lead on certain projects and also have the opportunity to work as part of multidisciplinary teams so it's an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience and further your development management knowledge.
Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload of minor planning applications and you will be providing expert technical advice at every stage. On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
To apply you will need to have at least a years experience within a local authority development management team and ideally have worked within London. A good grasp of UK planning legislation is required and you will need to have good communication skills and a positive attitude towards furthering your knowledge and gaining more technical experience. The role is likely to suit someone looking for that first or second move after gaining some solid work experience and feeling ready to take no more responsibility and career development. A relevant town planning degree is required.
The role is based in South West London and will pay around £20-£25/hr umbrella depending on your level of experience. This will be a home based role but you may on occasion be required to carry out site visits. This role will initially run until the end of July 2021 but due to the work levels our client has we expect it to be extended.
