Our client is a Local Authority based in Devon and they require an experienced DM Planning Officer to join them for a contract role ASAP. You process a large and varied caseload of planning applications and they need an experienced officer who has recently worked with a local authority in a similar role.
To apply for this role you will need an excellent working knowledge of UK planning legislation. You will need good stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the context of planning policy on development projects. You must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to manage a large caseload of applications.
Our client will pay £38-£42/hr Umbrella (this role is inside IR35), it is initially running until the end of Sept 2025 and our client offers hybrid working.
The successful candidate will have to be able to go into the office to undertake site visits as and when required depending on your caseload. You will need access to your own vehicle in order to carry out site visits.
