Our client requires a Technical Support Officer to work in support of planning and building control teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience within a very busy London authority based right in the heart of East London; one of London's most rapidly developing areas. Your duties will include vetting and processing planning applications, compiling and downloading information from the planning portal and compiling relevant documentation required to progress planning applications.
The role would be perfect for a Graduate with some previous related work experience and an understanding of UK planning administration and terminology. It is important that you can handle complex, detailed information and you have the ability to respond and provide accurate information when required. Any knowledge of building control would be an advantage.
The role will start as a 3 month contract but given our clients work programme it is highly likely to extend for some time. The rate will be £15-£18/hr so this is an excellent opportunity to secure well paid work and begin to propel your planning career.
