Full Description
Our client, a Local Authority in Staffordshire, is looking for an experienced Technical Officer to support the delivery of their service, with a particular focus on preparation for and implementation of Awaab's Law Phase 2, on a contract running to 31 March 2027. You'll take a lead role in service delivery, managing complex damp, mould and disrepair cases, undertaking inspections and preparing specifications of work. The role also involves monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales, supporting service improvements and compliance reporting, and working proactively to reduce risk and improve customer outcomes.
Candidates should have demonstrable experience managing housing disrepair claims and legal interfaces, with previous experience within social housing and damp, mould and disrepair management essential. Experience preparing technical evidence and witness statements would be advantageous, as would experience implementing or preparing for Awaab's Law.
This role pays up to £50 per hour, site-based.
