In this role you will carry out suitability and affordability assessments and make specific recommendations in accordance with our client's accommodation offer policy. You will work within a Housing Needs team that focuses on tackling homelessness.
You will be required to analyse complex information and to effectively communicate at all levels either face to face, by telephone, in writing or electronically with customers, colleagues, managers, legal advice agencies, education services, support workers, medical professionals and other relevant internal and external partners.
The successful candidate for this role will have a good basic understanding of homelessness legislation, discharging homelessness duty through a private rented sector offer and relevant sections of the Homelessness Code of Guidance. You will also be expected to have knowledge of housing benefits calculations and affordability assessments.
The role is based in East London, will last at least 6 months and pay around £17-£22/hr (umbrella).
