Our client has role to fill in their Environmental Maintenance Department for a Street Scene Officer to focus on work in connection with ensuring the effective operation of the Street Scene and Landscaping service.
The position is a full-time post and is initially for 3 months but could be extended for 6 months.
You will carry out street patrols and report and log any incidences. The team covers a range of work in the following areas:
- Grounds Maintenance
- Street Cleansing
- Fly tipping/fly posting/graffiti
- Abandoned vehicles
- Environmental enforcement
- Street furniture / war memorials
This role would suit someone who has previous enforcement related experience within a local authority (ASB / Enviro). You will need excellent communication skills and be comfortable dealing with conflict. You must be flexible, reliable and able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Our client is looking to pay around £17/hr (umbrella) but this may be negotiable.
