Our client has a Planning Officer vacancy within their Strategic Applications Team which will run until the end of May 2020. The role will see you working on range of development management case work and you will be required to provide pre-application advice, process planning applications and issue Certificate of Lawfulness. On a daily basis inline with our clients service-wide and corporate performance indicators, you will assess, negotiate and set out clear and robust recommendations in an accurate, well written officer report based on relevant planning policies and other material considerations.
This could be a great opportunity for a Planning Officer who is looking to make the move into a Senior Officer role.
To apply for one of these roles you will need recent experience within a London local authority development management team processing your own varied caseload of planning applications. You will need to be able to work under pressure when required and quickly and efficiently in order to maintain our clients service standards. A degree level qualification in a relevant town planning discipline is required, full RTPI Chartership is not essential.
Our client is a local authority in West London and there is potential for this role to be extended due to the busy workload with this local authority. The rate offered is up to £25/hr though there may be room to negotiate depending on your experience and this role is inside IR35.
