Full Description

Reporting to the Environmental Health Manager, you will be involved in a range of projects targeted at improving the local area. You will assume a lead role in co-ordinating resources, managing work plans and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders.

A key part of the role will be ensuring relevant data is kept and monitored and project performance targets are met. You can expect to be managing multiple project streams and you will need to develop, maintain and use appropriate information systems to facilitate the production of defined performance targets and indicators. The role will carry budget monitoring responsibility and managing grants of around £250k in value.

To carry out this role you will need an excellent understanding of local authority funding processes and the ability to develop appropriate business cases for new projects. You will need excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence decision making processes. A good commercial awareness of the role of regulatory services is essential and you will need to show an acute understanding of the pressures facing businesses and the importance of achieving compliance.

The role is based in Hertfordshire, is expected to last at least 6 months and will pay around £35-£40/hr (umbrella). The client is willing to consider those wanting to work on a part-time basis.
