Your primary function as a Strategic Procurement Manager will be helping deliver the service for the Sustainable Communities & Housing Directorates, working to improve process and contract management practices in an effort to deliver sustainable efficiencies in third party spend.
You will have a lead role in the design of procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organisation whilst improving outcomes for residents of the Borough. The key sub-categories within the service area are:
- Environment & Public Realm
- Highways and Parking
- Planning and Sustainable Regeneration
- Culture & Community Safety
- Housing
A core function of your activity will be building relationships with major supplier organisations with spend of over £1m per annum so we are looking for an established procurement professional with a background in Local Authority buying and contracts management.
Our client is based in South East London and will offer an initial contract until at least the end of February 2022. They are open to negotiation but looking to pay around £250-£350/day (inside IR35).
