Our client based in central London is looking to appoint a Strategic Commissioner to join the team there working on Children's Services.
In this role you will be part of a team of Strategic Commissioners / Strategic Transformation Leads working across two boroughs with responsibility for directing and delivering creative and tangible service improvements through a broad spectrum of transformation and change methodologies.
You will be leading a portfolio of change programmes and teams that cut across different departments, functions and organisations, both internally with Council teams and services as well as externally with partners and suppliers. We’ll look to you to identify issues and to shape innovative approaches to solving local problems, all with the best interests of the community at heart.
You will build and lead cross-functional teams (including Procurement, Legal, Finance, Adult Social Care, Economic Development, Public Health the Contracts Team and Children Services) through a combination of direct line management and matrix management to ensure that maximum value and outcomes are achieved from commissioning and transformation projects.
This role is set for an initial period of 3 months with a likely extension thereafter with the pay sitting at £350/day minimum
