We have a client in West London currently looking to recruit a Strategic Commissioner for at least 3-6 months. The role will see you lead and deliver a programme of commissioning (including procurement activity) and transformation projects of a combined portfolio worth c. £100m within Public Health and Adults Commissioning.
You will be tasked with establishing and leading cross-functional teams (including Procurement, Legal, Finance, the Contracts Team and Adult Services colleagues) through a combination of direct line management and matrix management to ensure that maximum value and outcomes are achieved.
You will have a key role in ensuring that stakeholders and service users are effectively engaged and involved in service improvement, transformation and commissioning activity and you will work to manage risks and ensure compliance in relation to procurement, legal and financial requirements.
For this role we are looking for someone with a solid background in Local Authority commissioning work, preferably within Adults related public health services. You will need high level communication skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload.
The role is working for a Local Authority in West London and we'd expect rates in excess of £350 per day (umbrella / Ltd). The role is inside IR35.
The initial contract will be 3-5 months and may be extended. They are possibly looking to recruit permanently in future but you will not be obligated to apply for the role.
