Our client is a Local Authority in South East England and they are seeking an experienced Senior Spatial Planning Officer to join their Spatial Planning and Design team. Working in a busy department, you will assist in the preparation and delivery of an up to date Development Plan and the associated documents.
You will be expected to take the lead on the research and delivery of specific policy and projects, becoming a Department expert to inform the preparation of an up to date Development Plan and associated documents. You will project manage and supervise team members and consultants to provide input to projects and take responsibility for project delivery.
Recent experience in a policy planning role writing strategy and policy documents is essential (and ideally you will have gained this within a Local Authority setting) and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date.
This role will be offered for an initially run until the 30th September but is expected to be extended. The rate offered is £37/hr (inside IR35). Please get in touch for a copy of the JD and further details.
