Our client is busy Local Authority based in South East England and they are seeking an experienced Team Leader for their Spatial Planning and Design team. In this role you will assist the Spatial Planning Manager in the management and motivation of a team made up of approximately 20 people. You will ensure, through the provision of professional advice, guidance, interpretation and evaluation, that the team meets statutory targets and legislation and delivers corporate priorities through the preparation and delivery of an up to date Development Plan and associated documents.
You will also be involved in the delivery of a Development Plan including project identification and implementation.
Applicants for this post must be qualified Town Planners with experience of local authority town planning. Your strong technical knowledge of UK planning legislation will need to be complimented with good management skills and the confidence and ability to direct a team.
This is a contract that will initially run until the 30th September but there is the possibility it will be extended. The rate of pay offered will depend on your experience but we expect our client to offer up to £40+/hr (inside IR35). A full JD is available on application so contact us ASAP for full details.
