Excellent opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner to take up a well paid contract role with our local authority client in the South East of England. You will play a key role in helping manage the departments' output and you will act as the key contact for a number of transport projects serving to provide expert planning advice. You will be responsible for developing transport strategy proposals and major transport projects for localities and you'll be required to identify schemes for inclusion within our clients 5 year infrastructure plans and 2 year infrastructure programmes for the Localities.
To apply you will need to be degree qualified and able to demonstrate extensive experience in of the development plan system and be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully deliver complex and challenging programmes of work through effective partnership working in a political environment. It is essential that you have an understanding of the principal responsibilities of and the key issues facing local government and the public sector and. You will also have experience in feasibility studies, option selection, modelling knowledge.
This role will initially run until the 31st Dec 2020 but will possibly be extended. The role is based in the South East of England and will pay up to £370/day (inside IR35). A full JD is available on application.
