Our client is a Local Authority in the Merseyside area and they need a Senior Planner to join their Development Management Team for a contract role.
You will manage complex pre-application negotiations and subsequent planning applications for major and strategic developments in the Borough. You will assist the Team Leader in managing the statutory Development Management functions, prepare reports and recommendations, prepare appeal statements, and give evidence to public hearings/ inquiries.
To apply you will need a relevant planning degree, extensive development management experience in the public sector and an excellent knowledge of UK planning regulations and guidance; ideally you will be professionally accredited.
The rate offered will be £45-£50/hr (inside IR35).
