Our client is a busy Local Authority in South East London which is undergoing an extensive Regeneration programme. They need a Senior Town Planner to join their Development Management team for a contract role.
As a Senior Planning Officer you will lead on more complex applications with responsibility to manage your own caseload and be a main point of contract for working with developers. Our client is keen to give people the chance to take on roles with a high level of responsibility and you will be expected to show enthusiasm towards further development of your own skills.
The successful candidate in this role will be an established DM Planner who has worked in London previously and understands the unique challenges faced with inner city development. Ideally you will be RTPI accredited but it is not essential and if you are working towards this then you will be fully supported. An appropriate degree level qualification is required.
The role is based in South East London and the rate offered is up to £35/hr Umbrella depending on your experience. This role is inside IR35.
Our client offers hybrid working with two days (currently Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office and most officers working from home the remaining three days a week.
The initial contract will be 3 months but this particular client has an extensive work programme so it is highly likely to be extended. Previous candidates have stayed in the role in excess of a year.
