Our client is a Local Authority located in London who requires a Senior Planner to join them for a contract which will initially run until the end of July 2021 though it's expected to be extended beyond this date. You will be joining one of the largest and most forward thinking local authority planning teams in London and will be fully involved with all aspects of development management case work. Our client is keen to give people the chance to take on roles with a high level of responsibility and you will be expected to show enthusiasm towards further development of your own skills.
Predominately you will be managing a caseload of complex mediums and majors (although not Strategic majors) and you'll need to be relatively comfortable with viability, negotiating S106 legal agreements, etc. The successful candidate in this role will be an established DM Planner who has worked with a Local Authority in London previously and understands the unique challenges faced with inner city development. Ideally you will be RTPI accredited but it is not totally essential. An appropriate degree level qualification is required.
The role is based South West London, will be offered on a 35 hour week contract and the rate will be around £30-£35/hr umbrella (negotiable depending on experience). Given this particular client's extensive work programme it's highly likely this contract will roll on for some time. Please get in contact for further information.
