Our client is a local authority based in the South West and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload which will include small majors, discharge of conditions, minors and some householder applications. Post is to address a backlog of planning applications. The applicant will be expected to process a high volume of applications.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You must have experience of using UNIFORM and of working with a local authority in the South West of the country. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The role will be offered for an initial 5 month period but is expected to be extended. The rate offered is £37/hr Umbrella and this role is inside IR35.
