Osborne Richardson have an interesting opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Officer to join a very busy local authority in North West London for a contract role. Our client is a thriving Borough who are undergoing considerable transformation and regeneration and you will assist them with the development and delivery of their borough-wide environmental sustainability strategy programme which will cross the corporate estate as well as the domestic, business and community sectors.
You will be the lead advisor on domestic energy efficiency, carbon reduction and fuel poverty matters for all housing tenures in our clients Borough. You will also develop, review and monitor energy efficiency and fuel poverty strategies and programmes for all housing tenures as well develop and submit bids to internal and external funding sources for energy efficiency and affordable warmth improvements to housing in the Borough
The successful candidate will need a relevant degree level qualification and have a detailed knowledge and understanding of environmental sustainability issues including relevant legislation, policy and best practice in an urban setting. Ideally you will have worked in a similar role with another Local Authority. You will need to be confident dealing with external contacts, in particular representatives from developers working in the Borough.
The rate offered is up to £29 per hour (umbrella) depending on experience and qualifications and this role will initially be offered as a 3 month contract. It is predominately a home working role though you will need to be in the office 1 day a week. For more information please get in touch.
