Full Description

Osborne Richardson are delighted to be working exclusively alongside one of the largest Food Manufacturing business in Australia who produce some of our retailers most iconic brands.

A rare opportunity has presented itself for a Sensory manager. You will be responsible for implementing and driving the sensory and consumer research function on behalf of the innovation team. You will ensure that all products are produced are evaluated against a schedule and the findings are communicated throughout the business to ensure a strong position is maintained in the market place.

Key Responsibilities:-

Implement a three tier sensory testing programme to evaluate existing & competitor product.
Implement a sensory testing programme to support the development team during the development phase of product development.
Implement the use of established sensory regimes and reporting methodologies to provide robust data to facilitate decision making and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
In partnership with QA develop a daily on line product check against specification to ensure ongoing compliance and product consistency.
Select and train, as appropriate, the panellists that are recruited as part of the three tier testing programme and maintain a database of panellists that can be called on as the need arises.
Implement a schedule of review aligned to the business strategy ensuring the business needs are met.

Skills/Competencies:

Degree qualified within food technology/food science
Sensory evaluation experience with experience in methodology and interpretation of results.
Computer literate, including Intermediate level of MS excel
A detail-oriented individual, who is able to effectively contribute to a team environment.
The ability to prioritize tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously; and the ability to interface with all levels of management
Excellent communication skills

Salary $120,000 plus benefits. Visas will be provided where necessary.
