Senior Public Protection Officer - *EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY*

Our client has recently restructured their team in response to the emerging requirements in conjunction with Covid-19 and ensuring business compliance across the Borough. They need to make a key appointment within the team and are looking for a Senior Public Protection Officer to work alongside the manager of the department to help lead their response to tackling these issues.

At the moment they have a 2 year plan in place and would like to move quickly to offer a contract assignment as they look to quickly mobilise the team; the contract will be 3 months initially but is very likely to roll on for some time. There may even be scope for a permanent role if you were interested but there is no obligation, for now we are looking to fill this role on an hourly paid agency contract basis.

As a Senior Officer you will be helping formulate policy and procedure, responding to rapidly changing conditions to help ensure communication and processes are clear and to help ensure the team is able to operate and meet it's obligations. You will use your previous experience of working within a regulated service to ensure best practice and to drive success in the department.

Given the scope of the requirements of this new team the role is likely to suit someone from an Enviro Health background who has specialised in Health and Safety and / or Food Safety enforcement work. Anyone who has taken specific Covid-19 related training would be favoured but those with a proven track record in service improvement and delivery would be strong candidates.

The roles are based within the North / East London catchment area and whilst you may be able to perform some duties from home our client needs those who are happy to work in the office when required and happy to carry out work on the district.

Given the grade and nature of this role we'd expect a pay rate in the region of £37-£45/hr depending on your level of experience. Contact us for more details.
