Our client is a local authority based in East London and they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join them for a contract role which sits within their Capital Delivery Team. Our client is going to undergo an ambitious period of regeneration which will result in significant growth across the borough to the benefit of it's residents and businesses.
The successful applicant will lead in the efficient delivery of a number of projects within our clients Housing and Education capital programme which is valued at c.£120m. You will have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Construction and have a proven experience of end to end project management of a physical development scheme. Housing experience will be considered, but our client would preferably like to see someone with experience of leading on leisure, commercial, mixed use schemes. Construction project management experience is essential. Candidates without this experience will not be considered for this role.
You must have recent public sector experience and have operated at a senior level with elected or board members. You must be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience of procurement processes/systems.
The rate offered is £400 - £425/day inside IR35. This contract will initially be offered for 3 months but with a view to extend it beyond this. Previous candidates have stayed in this role for a year or longer.
