Osborne Richardson have an excellent role for a Senior Policy Officer to join a local authority based in the East Midlands. This role sits within our clients Planning Policy Group and will require you to assist our client review their Local Plan evidence and contribute to their Policy development. This will require you to include appropriate interpretation of planning guidance and legislation and advise on planning policy issues. You will be responsible for advising and liaising with other areas of the Planning & Regeneration Team as well as developers, Members, the public and other teams across the council.
The successful candidate for this role will need a well rounded knowledge of current UK planning legislation. Previous work experience within a local authority planning policy team is essential and an appropriate degree level qualification is required. The contract will initially be offered as a 3 month contract but is likely to be extended by another 8 months after this and the rate is good - up to £35/hr depending on your experience.
