Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Planning Policy Officer for a minimum 6 month period. Your role will be to support the effective renewal and regeneration of our client's planning policy and carry out research tasks that enable the successful delivery of the Local Plan. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders and can expect to becoming into contact with elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders on a daily basis.
To apply for this role you will need previous experience in a local authority planning policy role and you will need an excellent knowledge of UK planning guidelines and local plan development. You will need good negotiation skills and a relevant degree level qualification. As a Senior Officer you will be expected to share your knowledge with other members of the team and provide support to junior staff as required.
The role is based in North West London and we expect a rate of around £25-£30hr but this may be negotiable for those already at Senior grade and looking for a higher rate.
