Our client is a Local Authority based in North London and they require a Senior Planning Policy Officer to join them for a contract that will initially be offered for 6 months.
In this role you will manage planning policy and research tasks that will enable the successful preparation, examination and implementation / delivery of the Local Plan and associated Area Action Plans and Supplementary Planning Documents.
You will be involved with Cross-Council working to deliver corporate objectives, including infrastructure funding and delivery. You will ensure timely and meaningful engagement of other Council Divisions, elected members, statutory and non-statutory bodies, developers and public stakeholders in this processes.
To apply for this role you will need a relevant degree level qualification and, ideally, professional accreditation. Recent experience in a policy planning role writing strategy and policy documents is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date.
This contract will initially be offered for 6 months though it could be extended beyond this and the rate offered is £35/hr (inside IR35).
