Our client has an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Planner to their Development Management Team for a contract role.
Your work will mainly focus on processing major planning applications and developments but from time to time you may be required to deal with all other types of applications. You will be working on a busy caseload with full responsibility for end to end management. As a Senior Planner you will assess planning applications and you will provide technical advice and act as a key representative for the Council in dealing with any third parties.
Our client would ideally like to see applications from those with previous major's experience who are confident and comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders and can write and present complex reports and information in a clear format. Good IT skills are absolutely essential as is a strong technical knowledge of UK planning legislation. RTPI accreditation would be an advantage but is not essential.
