As a Senior Planner within this Local Authority in Wiltshire, you will assume a high level of responsibility. You will act as lead officer for planning applications and related matters so you will have project management responsibility alongside requirement to coordinate the full range of planning considerations relating to two strategic development areas.
You will be expected to provide input and lead on aspects of the Local Development and you will have an active role in delivering the service by contributing ideas and making recommendations for improvement. You will manage a range of planning applications and submissions and will be involved in the negotiation of complex legal agreements, masterplans, design codes and the general management of significant major applications.
We are therefore looking for a well established Local Authority Planning Officer able to demonstrate significant experience managing a caseload; specifically we need someone with major apps experience. The role will not suit someone from a Consultancy background, Local Authority experience is essential.
Our client will offer a minimum 6 month contract. The rate will be at least £45/hr which reflects the calibre of candidate they are looking to appoint. Standard week is 37 hours.
