Our client is a Local Authority in Hertfordshire and they require a degree qualified Senior Planning Officer to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on assessing a caseload of complex minor and medium applications and you will provide professional advice, guidance, interpretation and evaluation on all aspects of the work area of the team to customers and colleagues. You will be providing expert technical advice at every stage of the planning application and on a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
Our client is also happy to consider candidates who are looking to make the move into a Senior Planner role.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
Applicants must have a drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
The role will be offered for an initial 3 month period but there's a strong possibility it could be extended due to the amount of work our client has on. The rate will be£28 per hour inside IR35. Please get in touch for further information.
