An excellent opportunity has arisen for a planner who is looking to progress to the next step of their career within a Land and Property company. The organisation is a leading firm consisting of Chartered Surveyors, Planners and Auctioneers.

The role specifics

In this role, you will be provided with a wide array of clients, working mostly on a range of residential, commercial, rural and mixed-use projects. The company deliver effective property solutions for both long-established and new clients. Therefore, an ability to be client-facing and communicate well with landowners, developers and architects will be fundamental to this role. You will be required to provide clients with viable planning strategies in a comprehensive and timely manner. Below are some of the key responsibilities of the role:
" Preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
" Submission of representations relating to Local Plans
" Preparation of Design & Access Statements/Planning Statements
" Development appraisals
" Advising clients on the planning potential of sites
" Management of small-medium scale projects
" Assisting Head of Planning & Development with an extensive and varied workload
" Building your own client relationships and project management skills
" Promotion of sites
Role requirements

Previous experience within a planning consultancy, developer or local authority will be pivotal for this role. Your understanding of the planning process, as well as your commercial awareness will be important. All applicants must have a RTPI accredited undergraduate or master's degree, as well as a minimum of 2 years practical experience.

Remuneration

You'll be offered a remuneration package ranging from £35,000 - £42,000 per annum for this job, depending on your level of experience. You'll also receive additional benefits as well as excellent training and career development, with support to achieve your career goals.
The company annually review performance, giving employees the chance to receive pay rises when merited.
