We have an excellent opportunity to take up a role with our local authority client in East London and help deliver a busy programme of infrastructure development projects. They require a Senior Growth & Infrastructure Planner to join them for a contract role which will initially run until the end of September 2022.
As part of the Infrastructure Planning Service, you will lead on the borough's annual update of it's Infrastructure Evidence Base (IEB) (which supports the Local Plan) and also on updating the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP). This involves engaging with all of the Borough's individual Service Areas responsible for the delivery of various types of infrastructure to capture and analyse new data, but also engaging with external infrastructure providers such as TfL, Thameswater, etc. This data will feed directly in to the Infrastructure Delivery Plan which will also require drafting by you.
To be considered you will must hold a Town Planning qualification and have a significant amount of town planning related work experience especially in regards to infrastructure planning, CIL, S106, project and programme management. Ideally this will have been gained with a London local authority. You will need to have good communication skills and the confidence to take on a role that will require you to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to the Council. You will need good analytical skills and the ability to produce clear and concise report documents that convey complex information in an easily understood format for those who may not be technically grounded in planning related matters.
Initially this will be an 8 month contract but could be extended beyond this, and the rate offered is £30/hr umbrella.
