Our client in East London is looking to appoint a Senior Enforcement Officer to look after a team of 6 and aid them in provididng a safer borough.
This post holder will undertake a wide range of enforcement duties in relation to community safety, Anti-Social Behaviour, Licensing (Premises, Alcohol and Highways), street scene and enviro crime including noise abatement, environmental enforcement (Fly tipping, Graffiti, Fly posting, and Littering etc.) and wider general public realm enforcement as required.
The post requires the individual to take enforcement action in line with legislation and Council Policies and Procedures which may include but not be limited to the issuing of formal notices, fixed penalties, cautions and prosecution action.
You will be working with partner agencies and other departments within the Council as tasked. This may include but not be limited to joint operations and patrols, monitoring and intelligence gathering operations, test purchasing and events. Providing support and reassurance as required in the event of a civil emergency or other contingency as set out in the Council's emergency plan. To act as a LALO (Local Authority Liaison Officer) when instructed.
For this assignment it is essential that you have good experience in enforcement but also that you have managed a team previously. The role is set as an initial 6 month contract with the rate of pay being £22 - £26/hour (umbrella).
