Our client is offering the opportunity to secure a 2 year Fixed Term Contract as Senior Development Manager where you will lead a portfolio of £100m in construction value.
They have brought forward a number of sites for development and now need someone who can commit to the project and play a key role in delivering the Council’s Growth and Sustainability agenda. They need a highly accomplished Project Manager with experience in a client side role within a Local Authority. Specifically they need someone with experience delivering schemes from procurement through land and property acquisitions to site development and build.
You will have full responsibility for managing all aspects of compliance and steering the strategic direction of the projects under your remit to ensure deadlines are met and the programme is successfully advanced. You can expect to be working with a wide range of internal departments whilst also taking the lead on managing relationships with external consultants and developers; you will therefore need excellent negotiation skills.
You will be heavily involved in procurement activity so your contract knowledge will need to be up to date and you will need to be able to advise on appropriate procurement routes. You will oversee financial transactions and you will help secure funding. A key requirement of the role will be the need to assess risk and to mitigate appropriately. You will need to provide clear leadership to the project team and you will need to report internally to senior stakeholders. You will report to the Assistant Director.
The client will offer a salary of £65,847 - £73,745 per annum. They are based in North West London.
