Full Description

This is a key role in our client's Environmental Services team where you will work in support of the Contracts Manager to carry out day-to-day contract monitoring and manage supplier performance issues. You will assist with the creation of performance monitoring reports and documentation and work to ensure all relevant data is recorded in the Management Information System (MIS).

A key function of the role is to ensure accurate data is maintained as it will be used for analysis to support the decision-making process for effective and efficient contract management in helping ensure supplier risks are identified, managed and escalated to senior managers where necessary. It is therefore essential that you have a high level of IT literacy and previous experience managing data systems.

You will assist with budget monitoring and the preparation of budget forecasts and estimates so you must be comfortable with financial data, particularly in respect of monitoring costs and implementing cost saving initiatives.

To carry out this role you will need to have gained experience in a similar role, ideally within a local authority contracts management team. The role may also appeal to those who have worked for related organisations such as waste / recycling collection companies. Key to this role is self discipline as you will need to be motivated to manage complex information and you will need to have the ability to form good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

The role is based in West London, will last at least 6 months and pay around £22-£24/hr (umbrella). A full JD is available on application.
