Excellent opportunity to take up a key strategic role with a client based in the South West, a joint services Local Authority.
The post of Senior Commissioning Manager is one of a designated number of senior appointments that have formal accountabilities to act across and on behalf of both partner authorities.
At a senior level you will oversee a defined portfolio of service areas and you will have some key deliverables including:
- Delivering complex services, including through partnership working and commissioning.
- Provision of specialist advice and expertise to develop strategy and implement policy frameworks.
- Lead the commissioning of services including the achievement of specific local and national targets.
- Working to achieve savings and implement agreed developments to improve service delivery.
We are looking for an established senior manager who can demonstrate excellent strategic thinking abilities with a clear focus on delivering performance improvements.
You will need to be confident in providing effective leadership and ensuring a highly collaborative approach.
The scope of work will cover a wide remit of commissioning of integrated care and support services for people with a learning disability, autism, physical and sensory Impairment and mental health needs including: residential care; supported living; home care and day opportunities. Experience in these areas is essential.
The initial contract will be 4 months but it is fully expected to extend for some time. The day rate will be £630.
