Our client in East London is looking to appoint 2 Commissioning and project Managers to join the team there on a 3 month contract initially. The Joint Commissioning Unit commissions service on behalf of Adults, Children's Social Care and Public Health. As such there are a diverse range of expectations across different programmes of activity.
The client requires experienced social care commissioners and project managers who can work intensively and accurately to take on carefully briefed pieces of work. You could be experienced in Children's or adults social care, or both.
The work itself may vary from taking forward commissioning exercises to working on projects to improve commissioning systems in place or deliver improvement projects designed to improve outcomes to vulnerable individuals.
You will be adept at working with a range of stakeholders and being aware of the pressures faced by social care. Understanding of social care and health systems and the integration agenda will be expected. The roles are very much about delivery and will likely require addressing a range of projects. The JCU operates a matrix management system so it may be that you will report to different programme managers for different pieces of work, so will have to be flexible and able to meet differing priorities.
This assignment is set for an initial period of 3 months and the pay is £400/day umbrella. If you feel that you have suitable Commissioning experience within Adults and Children's social care then please apply within.
