As a Senior CIL / S106 Officer you will lead on the preparation, implementation, delivery and subsequent reviews of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule, Regulation 123 List and the supporting viability studies.
You will be responsible for the day to day operation and management of CIL and s106 in accordance with relevant statutory requirements and relevant Council policies including supporting DM in negotiation; leading on the monitoring of agreements and payment and assisting with CIL / s106 related appeals. You will work with a number of data packages and you will be responsible for keeping and maintaining accurate records.
On a regular basis you will be working with Development Management Town Planners so you will need a grasp of basic UK planning language and an understanding of the planning process. A key part of the role will involve providing a telephone advice service so you will need an excellent technical knowledge in relation to all aspects of the SIL / S106 process.
At this grade we are looking for someone who has worked in this capacity within a Local Authority. We do not necessarily need you be a qualified planner, those with a finance background who have relevant experience specifically within a S106 / CIL team should also apply.
The role is based on East London and will offer a rate up to £33.81/hr (umbrella) which reflects the level of competency needed to be a successful applicant.
