Our client is a local authority based in the South East of England who have two positions for a Senior Capital Construction Project Manger and a Construction Project Manager to assist in the efficient delivery of a number of new build and restoration projects in line with the Council's growth objectives.
The Senior Project Manger will lead and manage construction projects and programmes that are high value, complex or sensitive ensuring that they are delivered to the time, budget and quality requirements of the client. Some of these construction projects will be valued up to £40m.
The Construction Project Manager will work on projects which are medium in value and of moderate complexity. You will also have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Planning and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of commercial or housing regeneration projects, including working with developers and the local community. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members and you will a strong knowledge and knowledge of legislation pertaining to businesses, and especially of regeneration.
These roles will initially be offered for 6 months and the rate will be around £300 - £350 per day for the Construction Project Manager and the Senior role will be between £350-£400/day. These roles are inside IR35. For more information including job specs please get in touch.
