Senior / Associate Planner (Top 10 Consultancy) London

Our client is a leading national consultancy, who currently have an excellent opportunity for a Planner to join an established and successful planning team based in Reading to work on a broad range of planning projects.

The team currently service a mix of small, medium and large development schemes, using their local knowledge and national influence to plan and deliver projects of all types and scales.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Promoting large scale residential and mixed use developments (both Brownfield and - Greenfield) through the Local Development Framework
- Co-ordination of project teams and project management
- Conducting research and site appraisals
- Preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications
- Preparation of planning statements
- Policy representations
- Developing strategy for site promotions

It is essential that candidates:

- Are MRTPI qualified
- Have strong planning experience, including a mixture of residential and commercial experience
- Have project management skills
- Have an interest and track record in business development
- Have a capability in generating new business and established client contacts
- Are committed and have an eye for detail
- Are used to working with minimal supervision and have a strong ability to use their own initiative
- Are capable of managing a wide and complex workload
- Are personable and a strong team player
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have car access

Additional desirable attributes would be:

- Experience in consultancy
- Local client contacts
