Regeneration and Delivery Manager for Woolwich Exc

Our client, a local authority based in South East London, is seeking a Regeneration & Development Manager to join them for a contract position and take the lead on the delivery of a major mixed use town centre regeneration programme.

Our client is in contract and has been working with a developer, and has just made a CPO to facilitate land assembly. Planning permission is in place for a scheme with a new cinema, commercial spaces, public realm, community facilities and circa 800 homes right. The role will require you to lead the CPO and associated work and also ensure engagement with other developments happen to ensure synergies are maximized.

To apply you will need to hold a relevant related qualification and a proven track record in delivering major regen projects within a local authority setting. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation, operating at a senior level with elected or board members and you will have a strong knowledge of legislation pertaining to businesses, and especially of regeneration. You must be able to clearly demonstrate the following on your CV:

Knowledge and Experience of;
• Large scale complex property-based regeneration schemes
• Compulsory Purchase processes including awareness of the Public Sector Equality Duty and its relevance to CPO’s
• Management and ability to work with multi disciplinary consultant teams
• Commercial negotiations and business plans including understanding development appraisals
• Being an expert witness in quasi and/or judicial processes
• Working successfully in partnership with developers within the framework of a legal agree

The role will initially be offered for 3 months but this is expected to be a long term rolling contract due to the nature of the programme. This role is inside IR35 and the rate offered is between £600-£650/day (depending on experience). Our client offers a hybrid home/office working arrangement.
