This role is working with a Local Authority in Essex and will see you working between 8am and 4.15pm, 36.5 hours per week (some flexibility may be required).
As Refuse and Cleansing Manager you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and control of all refuse, recycling and street cleansing operational related services. You will serve to ensure a high level of service delivery whilst also managing processes to ensure value for money.
As a managerial member of the Street Scene and Technical Services Team, you will take a very active role in the review, implementation and monitoring of operations. You will help design and implement appropriate procedures and practices, taking into account all health and safety consideration.
You will have supervisory responsibility for around 30 staff working across our clients waste facility sites. The team is focused on the cleaning of all adopted and Council owed highways both mechanically and manually and the scope of work includes contractual cleaning work, graffiti removal and clearance of fly tipping.
We are looking for someone who has undertaken a similar role in a Local Authority setting or perhaps on behalf of a waste services contractor. You will need excellent The staff management and development skills and you will need to be confident in a lead capacity.
Our client is looking for a start pre Xmas if possible. They will pay around £27/hr (umbrella).
