An exciting opportunity has arisen to with one of our clients based in the South East of England for a post within the Public Health team, working on the Domestic Abuse agenda.
The post holder will apply public health expertise to support a portfolio of work with a specific focus on Domestic Abuse, which aims to keep the population safe, improve their health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. This role involves working in partnership to support delivery of the local strategic objectives, and meet the requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act.
Specific responsibilities will include:
1. Support Domestic Abuse strategic board and operational partnership board, to ensure all requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act are met.
2. Ensure the delivery of actions as a result of a local needs assessment and updated strategy, which is being undertaken by a third party. Be responsible for leading specific system changes identified in the updated strategy.
3. Support the team in reviewing contracts related to Domestic Abuse services, and update in line with procurement and legal requirements.
4. Support the contract monitoring of services.
5. Support the budgeting and financial management by overseeing invoices from contracts and grants.
You should ideally have experience of working in a public health related role, and have extensive experience of working on Domestic Abuse related projects. This role is set for an initial period of 3 months, with a likely extension thereafter. The pay rate is £350/day umbrella
