Full Description

Our client in South London is looking to appoint a Data Analyst to join the Public Health team there. The role itself comes under Strategic Performance however it more widely falls under the directorate of Adult Social Care and Public Health.

In this role you will be expected to support the Adults Performance Team in providing timely, accurate analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative business intelligence necessary for the Directorate to make timely, relevant and strategic decisions for existing and future services and fully support national and local reporting requirements including the Department of Health and Safeguarding Boards.

Some key responsibilities will be as follows:

* Analyse and interpret statistical data to inform the needs of the service, providing accurate and timely management information to support local and national performance measures and targets.

* To undertake benchmarking and to collate data relevant to planning future services, including researching and collating demographic information, national statistics on care provision and other information as required.

* Actively promote data quality and the use of accurate management information within Adults. This may include conducting briefings and training sessions as appropriate.

* Provide information that supports the commissioning, market-testing and contract management of services including producing data to inform service reviews, commissioning programmes and contract monitoring.

For this role a knowledge or understanding of Social Care is very much desirable. It is essential that you have experience working with large datasets and of using web based business intelligence tools and applications such as Power BI and Business Objects.

The client is looking for the assignment to start ASAP. The contract will be 36 hours per week and run for an initial 3 month period with the possibility of an extension thereafter. The pay rate is £30 - £34 per hour (umbrella)
